Ruth Myers (Ouzounian)

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away at home on February 12th, 2017.
The daughter of Lorin LaVar & Irma Lee Bell Myers, she was born on September 9th, 1954 in
Salt Lake City, Utah. A graduate of South High School in Salt Lake City, Ruth graduated and
started a career with Utah Power and Light as a meter reader. She met her husband, George
Ouzounian, at the Gadsby Plant. George and Ruth married on August 8th, 1981, in Salt Lake
City. After the birth of their first child, Ruth devoted her life to her family as a homemaker. She
took great joy as an influence in her children's lives and regarded her role as a mother to be the
most important responsibility afforded her.
Survived by her mother, Irma Lee Bell Myers Willette; stepfather, Wayne Willette; husband,
George Ouzounian; three daughters and two sons: Stefani, Erika (Joe), Ryan (Jannali), Rachel
(Jonny), Jordan; 7 grandchildren: Calan, Noah, Chloe, Paizlyn, Mary Jean, Oliver and Eliza
Rose; and fur-baby, Juno. She is also survived by three brothers and two sisters: Erick, Dane,
Tracy, Maureen and Martha. Preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Dearinger, and father, Lorin
LaVar Myers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17th, 11am at the Union 5th Ward Chapel, 7784
S. Highland Dr . Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121. Viewing services will be the night prior,
Thursday, February 16th, from 6-8pm at the Union 5th Ward Chapel, as well as one and a half
hours prior to the funeral services the following day. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park
