Sherry Schvaneveldt McKinney Cole: I found out about Sherry's death 5 years after it happened. She and I went to school together in the 5th grade and became pretty close to best friends. I found out she died when her oldest son passed and she was mentioned as preceeding him in death. To this day I miss her because of all the memories over the 30 years she lived. She never really had a chance at a normal childhood as her mother and 2 sisters were much older than her, she did have one sister that was a few years older that was very mean to her growing up, but in the end her best friend. She has also passed (so sad). She met and married Ralph McKinney at South during her first or second year. So while most of us were enjoying life and being young, she was raising children under some pretty sad conditions. In the end she had 2 girls and a boy and the youngest came with many challanges. She passed from an accidently over-dose which always broke my heart that I wasn't there to help her see her way through some of the toughest times ever.
