Obituary for Calleene L. Murdock
2-17-1954 – 8-15-2015
As my fun filled life comes to an end, I’m surrounded by my loved ones and we want to say thanks for being there for us. Calleene was the greatest wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend anyone has ever had. Her journey began on February 17, 1954. Her proud parents were Thomas and Laverne Ryan. She married Rick Murdock on Valentine’s Day in 1976, we spent 40 wonderful years traveling and enjoying life, we raised 2 great sons, Ricky and Nicholas. She retired from American Express after almost 30 years of service. We have vigilantly and courageously fought the battle with pancreatic cancer and treatment since January of this year. She is survived by her husband Rick; sons Ricky and Nicholas; sisters Pat, Leslie, Shauna, and Linda. Thanks to all of you for your love, care and support at our time of need. A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah from 6 pm to 7 pm. Interment will take place in the Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery following cremation. Online condolences may be left for the family atwww.LakeHillsMortuary.com.

Cahleene has been a friend to both Tom and I. Tom and Cahleene went through school together from kindergarten. I met her at South, but both of us remember how much fun she made life at school! Cahleene has a great sense of humor, there is laughter wherever she is. Heaven received a good, kind and fun-loving angel! Our thoughts and Prayers for Cahleene and her family, she will be missed! I met Calleene at Lincoln Jr. High and we stayed friend all through high school. We laughed and cried at the silliest things. Her laugh was infectious and i loved her snort. All through High school she had such a crush on Rick, and we spent many weekends driving by his house. I was so pleased to hear they got married. I lost touch with Calleene over the years but thought of her often. My heart was very sad today when I saw this notice. May God bless her soul and her family. Tonica Westerkamp Mitchell

Calleene lived right behind me and we enjoyed some fun times in our neighborhood. She was great and her laugh made everyone around want to laugh also. I remember laughing so hard, then we would look at each other and have no idea why we were laughing. Our last reunion we reconnected and it was wonderful, sad to say we never had that lunch we talked about. My heart goes out to Rick, and Linda (my sisters best friend) who both loved Calleene so much! We lost another Great Cub sad... (Linda) Diane Dixon
