STEVEN FARLEY OBITUARY

Steven Ross Farley 3/4/1954 ~ 1/31/2009 MONTROSE - Steven Ross Farley, age 54, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at Montrose Memorial Hospital in Montrose, Colo. Steve was preceded in death by his father, William Farley; mother, Hazel Farley; and brother, Alan Farley. He leaves behind his wife, Metta Sabilla Christensen Farley of Montrose; daughter, Allyson (Garett) Piencikowski and two adoring grandsons, Keegan and Lukas Piencikowski, all of Montrose; son, Matthew (Casandra) Christensen of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Bill (Teresa) Farley and brother David Farley, all of Kaysville, Utah; two sisters, Linda (Bob) Ith of Spanish Fork, Utah; and sister Marilyn Turnbow of Salt Lake City, Utah; and many nieces and nephews who he loved and enjoyed watching grow into adulthood. Steve on the exterior was a tough biker, who loved riding his Harley, driving his truck, smoking Kool cigarettes and enjoyed a drink from time to time. To those of us who saw the personal side of Steve, we got to see a man who loved to be with his grandsons, who sang songs, joked and even bought shirts so he could match his grandsons. He loved his wife and daughter and did his best to show them just how much. His relationship with his brothers and sisters was also very important to him. Steve got his angel bars and took off with Al and his beloved dogs, leaving behind so many memories and so much love. A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose, Colo. The service will conclude at the chapel. Arrangements are being handled by Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E. Main St., Montrose, CO 81401 (970) 249-2121.
